The KTN 50MkII EX is an amplifier for guitarists looking for versatility, dynamics and high quality sound, on stage or in the studio. The EX evolution brings even more features to a model already full of creative and sound potential.

With five amplifier profiles (Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brown, and Acoustic), the BOSS Katana KTN 50MkII EX allows you to select sound configuration memories, activate/deactivate effects much more easily thanks to the GA-FC/GA-FC EX system Foot Controller.

Clean is a clean profile, and an excellent base for the range of effects available in Katana. The Acoustic profile serves to amplify your electroacoustics, maintaining the natural sound of the guitar. The most saturated profiles are Crunch, full of attitude and grain, Lead for those who want sound definition and sustain for solos, and Brown, overloaded with strength for greater presence, but tuned to cut violent riffs with precision.

The sound is designed by the Tube Logic system, which offers greater definition, power and presence in each of the profiles.

The Katana KTN 50MkII EX has such a wide range of effects that pedals can look right at home. In addition to offering five types of independent effects (Booster, Mod, FX, Delay and Reverb), with three selectable variations in each, the KTN 50MkII EX has access via the BOSS Tone Central application to dozens of ready-to-use effects, available on the BOSS website for Windows/macOS systems.

The BOSS KTN 50MkII EX meets the new demands of the modern musician. BOSS designed the KTN 50MkII EX with digital recording tools in mind, providing a ¼ jack input, with a pickup emulator to send the signal to a digital audio editor (DAW), or to shape the sound for a PA or headphones .

The BOSS KTN 50MkII EX has a Power Amp input for preamps, modelers and multi-effects. Another feature that expands the power of this amplifier is the possibility of expanding the signal by connecting to another Katana MkII model, in stereo.

And if you want to send the signal directly to an amplification system or to a digital audio editor, the KTN 50MkII EX has a line output with amplifier emulation (IR).
