The Electro-Harmonix Nano Big Muff Pi recaptures the powerful sound and long sustain that made the Big Muff one of the most recognizable fuzz pedals in electric guitar history.

This compact version maintains the sound of the classic NYC Big Muff Pi, with dense distortion, full-bodied bass, and characteristic saturation that has become part of the sound of countless rock recordings. It's a pedal capable of transforming chords and riffs into authentic walls of sound, but also of giving solos a prolonged and expressive sustain.

Big Muff occupies a special place in the history of guitar effects. From 70s rock to alternative rock, grunge, and stoner rock, its sound has been used to create intensely saturated guitars, with notes that seem to extend indefinitely. The Nano Big Muff Pi carries this identity into a format that takes up much less space on the pedalboard.

Operation is based on three controls. The Sustain knob regulates the amount of distortion and the duration of the notes, allowing you to explore from moderate saturation to an intense and compressed fuzz. With high values, the notes extend and gain density, a characteristic especially interesting for solos and melodic lines.

The Tone control alters the balance between bass and treble. They can achieve a darker, fuller sound or highlight higher frequencies to give greater definition to riffs and individual notes. The Volume knob adjusts the output level, making it easier to integrate the pedal with the amplifier and other effects.

The fully analog circuit maintains the sonic identity of the original Big Muff, while the True Bypass system removes the effect from the signal path when it is off. The compact metal case protects the components and facilitates installation on pedalboards with limited space.

Released in 2013, the Nano Big Muff Pi measures only 11.4×7×5.3 cm and has a low power consumption of 3 mA. It works with a 9V battery, included, or with a 9.6V adapter purchased separately.
