Viola toeira or viola of Coimbra is a traditional Portuguese cordophone typical of the region of Beira Litoral. It has about 86cm and the mouth of the harmonic box is oval.
It has 5 orders of strings, the three highest orders of double strings tuned in unison and the two lowest of triple strings tuned in octaves.
