A digital piano is a key electronic musical instrument designed to imitate the sound of key instruments, but with an emphasis on the acoustic piano. Sounds are produced using data stored in an insternal memory.
In addition to mimicking sounds, digital pianos are designed to make the playing experience as close as possible to playing an acoustic piano. They therefore have a key weight: the greater or lesser force with which the key is pressed will produce a stronger or less strong sound, unlike some keyboards, where the key weight does not exist (the notes played are equalized) or is not so realistic.
In general, digital pianos have a lower sound bank than keyboards. In a digital piano you usually find sounds from acoustic, electronic and organ pianos. There are many more instrument sounds in the memory of the keyboards.
