Artimúsica was founded in 1992 and is dedicated to the artisanal construction of traditional Portuguese instruments. The traditional method of construction that even today forms the basis for this art of manufacture was initiated over 100 years ago by the master Joaquim José Machado. Currently, his descendants build each instrument as if it were a real work of art, making each chordphone unique, of high quality and enormously musical.
