The BOSS TU-3W is the updated version of the music industry's benchmark tuning pedal, which doubles as a power supply for a variety of pedals. Model from the Waza range.

A tuning pedal might not sound as exciting as an effects pedal, but it's one of the essential pedals in the collection of any guitarist who takes their music seriously. The BOSS TU-3W is a modern tuning pedal and an essential setup tool for musicians, professional and not.

Based on the TU-3, the TU-3W uses the same functions to ensure your instrument is tuned to perfection, while maintaining the pedal feel you are familiar with.

The BOSS TU-3W can switch between chromatic tuning or tuning for Guitar or Bass. With a display that features a 21-segment scale for clear, easy-to-read viewing in a variety of stage conditions, the TU-3W even has ACCU PITCH indicators. a dynamic way to visualize the pitch, for greater accuracy.

Notes are visually labeled by name, with a range that includes seven-string guitar and six-string bass tunings. If playing a half step down or in drop tunings, the TU-3W has a Flat Tuning mode, which can go up to six half steps.

You can also adjust your tuning to the hundredth and calibrate it to your preferred frequency: in addition to the 440hz reference, you can choose the one that best suits your needs, from 43W6hz to 445hz.

Pragmatically designed for the most demanding stage conditions, the BOSS TU-3W is, like all BOSS pedals, extremely tough and durable, with a body that looks like a tank.

Using the OUTPUT output, your instrument's sound is cut off when the pedal is activated, but if you prefer, you can keep the signal permanently alive using the BYPASS output, and you can even use the two outputs simultaneously and split the signal to two different destinations, be it two amplifiers or two chains of pedals. The circuit was designed so that the signal comes out without any coloring, identical to the original signal.

The BOSS TU-3W also powers other BOSS pedals (up to seven) using a parallel daisy-chain cable, not included.

The W in TU-3 indicates that this pedal is part of the Waza Craft range. In Japan, “Waza” is the word for art and technique. The pedals on this special edition proudly bear the Waza symbol, and are an example of the quality of BOSS design and technology. The Waza Craft range is made with carefully selected analogue components for top functionality and playability.

For over 40 years, BOSS has produced the most iconic models of pedals that have shaped the sound of some of the most important artists of the last few decades. All its products are recognized for their high quality and reliability.
