Description

The Artimúsica GP70LCAD is a cadet-sized Portuguese guitar from Lisbon for little big guitar players, or to take away whenever you want.

The Artimúsica GP70LCAD is a guitar with ¾ of the standard size. It's perfect for young growing guitarists, and its dimensions make it so portable you'll always want to take it on the road.

Built by experienced artisans from Artimúsica, one of the biggest producers of traditional Portuguese instruments, it is a fado guitar with a sound quality capable of satisfying the most demanding.

The combination of woods selected for its manufacture provides a rich tone and a high quality volume. The Artimúsica GP70LCAD has a solid spruce top and the bottom and sides are in solid walnut. It's also a very comfortable guitar to play: the neck is in mahogany, with panga panga fingerboard, a very resistant and durable wood and aesthetically very interesting.

The finishes are unobtrusive and its appearance sober, presenting itself as an example of careful manufacturing. At the top of the neck we can see the spiral scroll, typical and identifying Portuguese guitars in Lisbon. The range is very stable and of great quality.

Despite its smaller dimensions, the Artimúsica GP70LCAD has the traditional timbre of Lisbon fado guitars, with a volume capable of accompanying the strongest voices and filling a room with its musicality.

The Portuguese guitar from Lisbon is the smallest of the three traditional fado guitars besides the Portuguese guitar from Porto and the Portuguese guitar from Coimbra. Of the three, it has the brightest sound, reinforced by the traditional tuning of the Lisbon Fado in Si-Lá-Mi-Si-Lá-Ré, starting from the highest pitches.

Founded in September 1992, Artimúsica is one of the leading brands in the handcrafted construction of traditional Portuguese instruments. It is a family business, which follows the construction method started by master Joaquim José Machado, over 100 years ago.

His grandchildren, the masters Manuel Carvalho and José Carvalho, make each instrument a true work of art: each piece is unique, of high quality, full of tradition and passion for music.

Made for guitarists who are passionate about their art, the Artimúsica GP70LCAD is a Lisbon fado guitar that promotes the tradition of this musical genre to be heard everywhere, for several generations.
